Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 19, 2026

This policy explains what information FindMyTable (“we”, “us”) collects when you use findmytable.live, how we use it, and the choices you have. FindMyTable lets event hosts build a seating chart and event page that guests open by scanning a QR code.

Information we collect

Account information. When you sign up we collect your email address and, depending on how you sign in, your name and a password or your Google account profile (name, email and profile picture). Passwords are stored only as a salted hash, never in plain text.

Event content you add as a host. Event name, date and venue; guest lists (guest names, table and seat numbers, meal choices and, optionally, phone numbers); schedules; registry links; payment details for gifts (a platform name such as PayPal, Cash App, Venmo or Zelle, a username, email or phone number, and optionally a QR code image); and files you upload such as menus, floor plans and hero images. Payment details you add are shown on your event page to anyone who can open it. We do not process gift payments: guests are sent to the payment platform, and we never receive the money or any guest payment information.

Content submitted by guests on an event page. Guest book messages and the name the guest types, music requests, photos and the name entered with them, and check-ins. Guests do not need an account to do any of this.

Payment information. Payments are handled by Stripe. We receive confirmation of the payment, the amount, the currency and a payment ID. We never see or store your full card number.

Usage and device data. When someone opens an event page we record that a scan happened, along with the browser’s user-agent string, so hosts can see how many guests scanned. Like most websites, our servers and our network provider also process IP addresses and request logs, which we use for security and to limit abuse (for example, rate limiting sign-ups and logins).

Messages you send us. If you use the support form we receive your name, email address, message and IP address.

Analytics and advertising. We use Google Analytics, a Google Ads tag and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to understand how the site is used and to measure our advertising. These tools set cookies or similar identifiers in your browser and send them information about your visit, such as the pages viewed and your device and browser type.

How we use information

  • To provide the service: create accounts, host events, show guests their seats and store what hosts and guests submit.
  • To process payments and confirm upgrades.
  • To send account and service emails, and to reply to support requests.
  • To keep the service secure and prevent abuse and spam.
  • To understand usage and measure and improve our marketing.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run FindMyTable, and only as needed for them to do so:

  • Stripe for payment processing.
  • Cloudinary for hosting and delivering uploaded images and files.
  • Google for sign-in, analytics, advertising measurement and outgoing email delivery.
  • Meta for the advertising pixel.
  • Cloudflare for content delivery and security.
  • Our hosting provider, which stores our database and servers.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it or to protect the rights, safety or security of our users and the service.

Guest information and event hosts

Hosts decide what guest information to add to an event and are responsible for having the right to share it. Guest lists are shown only through the host’s event page, and a host can set an access code so that only invited guests can open it. If you are a guest and want your name or other details removed from an event, please ask the host first; you can also contact us and we will help.

How long we keep information

We keep account and event data for as long as your account is active. Guest photo galleries are hosted for 3 months. You can delete events and their content from your dashboard, and you can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time. Payment records may be kept as long as needed for accounting and tax purposes.

Cookies and tracking choices

Signing in uses cookies to keep your session. Analytics and advertising tools may set their own cookies. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings, use Google’s Ads Settings and Meta’s ad preferences to manage ad personalization, or use browser privacy tools and extensions to block trackers. The site will still work for you if you do.

Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. To do so, use the support form or email [email protected]. We may need to verify that you own the account before making changes.

Security

We use reasonable technical measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords and rate limiting. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

FindMyTable is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
