Wedding Cash Gift QR Code: Add PayPal, Cash App, Venmo or Zelle

September 20, 2026 · 6 min read

More couples now ask for cash toward a honeymoon, a home or simply their first year together. The awkward part is the logistics: guests want to know how to send it, and you would rather not have a box of envelopes to keep track of. A payment QR code or username on your wedding page solves both.

Why couples put payment details on their wedding page

  • Guests can give from their phone. Many guests would rather send a gift in the app they already use than write a check.
  • Nothing gets lost. Envelopes go missing at receptions. A payment shows up in your account with the sender's name on it.
  • It works before and after the day. Guests who cannot attend, and guests who forget on the day, can still send a gift later.

How each payment app works for guests

Guests can pay you in a few different ways, depending on the app you choose:

  • PayPal. A PayPal.Me link opens straight to a payment screen for your account.
  • Cash App. Your $Cashtag has its own link that opens Cash App or the web page for your profile.
  • Venmo. Your username has a profile link that opens Venmo.
  • Zelle. Zelle has no public profile link. Guests send money from their own bank's app using your email address or phone number, or by scanning your Zelle QR code.

Most of these apps can also show a QR code for your profile, which a guest can scan with their phone camera. Look for a QR or “share profile” option in the app, take a screenshot of it, and you have an image you can upload.

How to add payment options to your FindMyTable page

  1. Open your event in the dashboard and find the Send a Gift card. Payment options are part of the Pro plan.
  2. Pick PayPal, Cash App, Venmo, Zelle or Other, then enter your username. You can paste a full profile link and it will be cleaned up for you.
  3. Optionally upload a QR code image. You can add a username, a QR code, or both.
  4. Repeat for any other platform. You can add up to 10.
  5. In the page designer, turn the Send a Gift section on and drag it to where you want it on the page.

Guests then see a button that opens your account, a Copy button for your username, and your QR code if you uploaded one. FindMyTable does not handle the money: guests pay in the app itself.

Things to check before you share your details

  • Only add accounts that belong to you. Use the account you actually want the money to land in, and make sure the name on it is one your guests will recognize.
  • Test it. Ask a friend to open your page on their phone, tap the button and confirm it shows your name. A single typo in a username sends guests to a stranger.
  • Check fees and limits. Payment platforms set their own fees, receiving limits and rules for personal versus business accounts. Read their current terms before the wedding.
  • Remember it is visible. Anyone who can open your event page can see these details. Use the access code if you only want invited guests to see them.
  • Never share a password or PIN. Guests only ever need your username, email, phone number or QR code.

Where to mention it and how to word it

Many couples avoid printing gift requests on the invitation itself and let guests find the details on the wedding page instead. That way the invitation stays about the celebration, and the information is there for guests who are looking for it.

A short, warm note works best, for example: “Having you with us is the best gift. If you would like to give something, we are saving for our honeymoon and you can send a gift below.”

Common questions

Does FindMyTable take a fee or handle the money?

No. FindMyTable never processes, holds or sees these payments. Guests are sent to PayPal, Cash App, Venmo or your other platform and pay there, so the money goes straight to your account. Any fees are set by the payment platform, so check its current terms.

Which plan includes payment options?

Payment options are part of the Pro plan, a one-time $75 payment with no subscription. Pro also includes unlimited guests, unlimited events, the photo gallery, guest book, music requests, menu and floor plan uploads, and registry links.

How many payment options can I add?

Up to 10 per event. Most couples add two or three, because guests use different apps and offering more than one means fewer people are left without a way to pay.

Who can see my payment details?

Anyone who can open your event page. If you turn on the access code, only guests with the code can open the page. You can also hide the Send a Gift section from the page designer at any time.

Why does Zelle show a Copy button instead of a link?

Zelle does not offer a public profile link the way PayPal, Cash App and Venmo do. Guests copy your email or phone number, or scan your Zelle QR code, and then send the payment from their own banking app.
